Military Teen Winter Adventure Camp

Northeast Passage, with the Cooperative Extension at the University of New Hampshire, is offering two White Mountain Overnight Winter Adventure Camps for Military Teens from around the country. The camps (January 6-9, 2012 and January 20-23, 2012) are specifically designed for teens (14-18) with physical disabilities and teens with developmental and cognitive disabilities who have a parent currently serving in the military. Sample activities include: Alpine and Nordic skiing, dog sledding, skating, snow tubing, snowshoeing and learning to build a snow shelter. The $20 registration fee includes lift tickets, lessons, equipment rental and food/lodging at the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Highland Center Lodge in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. There are NO additional fees and transportation assistance is available, including airfare for teens and a companion!
